Stalking waders
The morning of Tuesday, Sep 1st, was gloomy and windy, not a day for raptor migration, but maybe the day to check the shores for some waders. I found a small flock of waders nearby and spent a couple of hours stalking them, just letting them get used to my presence on the open shore. In the end I was rewarded with a few shots, some of which are included here.

Juvenile Ringed Plover Charadrius hiaticula

Adult Red Knot Calidris canutus

Dunlins, Ringed Plover and Red Knot

Juvenile Teal Anas crecca feeding in the open only some 10 m away from me, which is most unusual behaviour for a duck of any sort.
