Bird blogger and proud of it? You can place a banner on your site to identify yourself as a bird blogger. It's easy and merely craves no skill at all. By placing a banner you show to other visitors that your site contains a bird blog. I created this banner to share among you birders, go ahead, you have no excuse not to, because it's free. The image is on a transparent background so it will automatically adapt to your site's look! The image:
Press right mouse above the image and click "Save Target As" if you want to save it on your own computer for further use. Not necessary! How do I place the banner on my page? 1. Open your homepage index.html or index.php file and find a tag <body> Hint: it's usually in the first 10 lines or so. 2. Copy and place this <a href="http://www.dickforsman.com/cur/content/view/21/64/" title="Proud bird blogger!"><span id="birdblogger" style="position: absolute;left: 0;top: 0;display: block;height: 125px;width: 125px;background: url(http://www.dickforsman.com/cur/images/birdblogger.png) no-repeat;text-indent: -999em;text-decoration: none;"></span></a> html-code snippet just below that tag. 3. You can modify this banner to open your blog by pasting the address of it in the a-tag e.g <a href="http://blog.dickforsman.com"> but place a link from your site to this site, so other birders can fetch one as well. 4. You're done. Save your modified page to your server and enjoy!
